Drowning Undercover
The Child
Prequel To The Dissection Collection
Book Trailer
Synopsis
Before the woman could speak, the inner child had to feel. Drowning Undercover is a prelude to The Dissection Collection, weaving poetry, reflective prose, and visual symbolism into a heartfelt portrait of a soul growing up with too much empathy, the masks she wore to feel safe, and not enough space to feel everything deeply.
Authored by Reena Doss, with insightful editing by Aelius Arche and atmospheric illustrations by Sinbad Ocean, this is a story about building boundaries to stay kind in places that demanded you wear armor, learning how to make a home within, and giving yourself permission to bring your inner worlds outside.
I stopped numbering my pages. Infinity seems to be a better number and my story is still unwritten. Besides, I do like its symbol a lot— a sleeping ∞
