WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY
Observed every year on October 10, World Mental Health Day is more than a date. It is a reminder that we are human, and are allowed to hurt. That healing takes time, and we deserve care. Mental health is not a luxury—it is a right. This day calls us to pause with the world, remember those carrying invisible wounds, stand beside those who hold what others cannot see, and choose tenderness in the face of suffering.
Each year, the World Health Organization (WHO), alongside many global partners, dedicates this day to urgent mental health themes—ranging from suicide prevention to trauma care, children’s emotional well-being, recovery after war or displacement, and universal access to healing.
At Ink Gladiators Press, we mark this day through action via our publication series that serve as lanterns in the dark.
How We Participate
We mark this day in the very fabric of our work through literary, collaborative, and innovative projects that include:
- 🌿 The Lanterns: Little books of hope for those navigating grief, trauma, and emotional exhaustion.
- 🌿 Galleries: An upcoming space that will hold innovative stories about loss, resilience, and memory.
- 🌿 Resources: Freely shared by those with professional experience in mental health, trauma support, and caregiving.
🌳 A Living Tree of Care
Translations of Hope (TOH) brings hope through individual storytelling, shared support, and multilingual voices, one lantern at a time. Still, it is only a tiny voice in a much wider forest, yet one rooted in a global kinship of givers, creators, and listeners who carry lifelines daily, especially for children, displaced people, and those who need immense care.
Translations of Hope is also a member of Mental Health Innovative Network (MHIN) and the Global Mental Health Action Network (GMHAN)—global platforms who work tirelessly to advance mental health advocacy, policy, and collaboration across nations.
We hold deep gratitude for the following organizations and their steady work in the world:
If these organizations resonate with you, we encourage you to explore who they are and support their missions. Because we are not alone in this work.
